Sweet Love Adieu is set in mock-Elizabethan England. The plot, based loosely
on Romeo and Juliet, follows William and Anne as they meet, fall in love and
attempt to marry. However, Anne's ward Lord Edmund, has plans to marry Anne
himself and so a comedic battle for her hand is set in motion.
Written entirely in rhyming iambic "Shakespearean-style" verse, Sweet Love
Adieu fuses the classic structure and devices of Elizabethan drama with modern
characters, comedy and humour - essentially redefining the "modern classic."
